Sansad Bhavan

Sansad Bhavan (Parliament House) is one of the most magnificent buildings in New Delhi which has one of the brightest clusters of architectural gems possessed by any country in the world.

It is a place where the ministers of the country convene everyday to discuss and approve policies. Sansad Bhavan is divided into three complexes - the Lok Sabha (House of States), the Rajya Sabha (House of Lords), and the library.

The entire Parliament House Estate is enclosed by an ornamental red sand stone wall or iron grills with iron gates that can be closed when occasions demand.
The design of this structure was inspired by Mughal architecture - evident in the motifs on the wall slabs.

Visitors to the capital invariably pay a visit to this building as the two Houses of Parliament—the Lok Sabha (House of the People) and the Rajya Sabha (Council of States) are located within its walls.
