New Delhi Games Village

New Delhi is now being kept busy preparing for the Commonwealth Games 2010 in New Delhi as it sets out to construct the New Delhi Games Village. The government has taken on the responsibility of funding construction of this mega sports complex. The competition itself will probably cost about 805.81 million US dollars to be conducted. Plans call for construction of all sports venues to be finished by December 2009.

Athletes in participating sports

The athletes in participating sports are now also kept busy Preparing for the Commonwealth Games 2010 in New Delhi. The sports which will be part of this major sports event are aquatics, athletics, badminton, boxing, cycling, gymnastics, hockey, lawn bowls, netball, rugby, shooting, squash, table tennis, weightlifting and wrestling. The Commonwealth Games 2010 will be formally opened and then held in New Delhi in October 2010.
