The Capital of India

Article (100 words): It is necessary to understand that New Delhi is located with Delhi, and that they are two different places altogether. Delhi is formally known as the National Capital Territory of Delhi, a union territory that is now gunning for statehood status in India.

New Delhi on the other hand acts as the capital of the Republic of India. The Government of India is based here, and so is the Government of the union territory of Delhi. New Delhi is led by the New Delhi Municipal Council. Confusion arises since Delhi is often called New Delhi to contrast with Old Delhi.
